The Barbados Water Authority quickly repairs my leaking pipe.

I was experiencing a leak to the pipe that ran from the main in the street through the meter to my private residence. After hearing and seeing all the horror stories on social media showing the BWA in a bad light regarding timely residential repairs to their network I figured one, my call would be in vain and or at best take weeks if not months to be fixed.
My plumber told me to call the BWA as he was here this morning and just finish a repair to my toilet. I told him I am wondering if if they ever going show up. I called the Water authority and on hearing the automated answering system I thought right away I may not even get through to someone today to place the repair job.
In no time I was speaking to a clerk who took the order and give me a reference number. I put the phone down and figured I probably forget about them and will have to call them a couple more times before I get this repair done.
Within 90 minutes I got a call after hearing a truck pull up outside my door. The person at the other end was a crew hand from the repair Truck I later learnt is called Work Truck ML 691. The crew was very professional and had the repair done in 15 minutes and were on their way.
Included are pictures of the repair where you can see the new shiny replacement part inserted into the line just to the left of the meter in the second picture and to the right of the meter in the first picture.
This job was a same day repair and that is a vast difference in turn around time from what I expected having hear many a person knock the BWA's response time. I am glad to have my toilet repaired by my private contractor on the same day and within hours of alerting the Government water authority that I needed a repair done to a broken pipe inlet.
I guess one can say today was a good day for exemplary service and workmanship. I thank everyone involved.
